Clarence Raphael Roberts Clarence Raphael "Ray" Roberts, died at a local assisted living facility at the age of 76 on May 14, 2007. He was a native and resident of Coffeeville. A member and retired pastor of Jones Chapel Church of Christ in Coffeeville, Roberts had been a general foreman in pipe-fitting for U.S. Mill Carrier. Survivors include his wife, Martha Roberts of Coffeeville; five sons, Ben Jones of Millers Ferry, Kenneth Jones and Clark Roberts, both of Jackson, and Larry Jones and Laurie Roberts, both of Coffeeville; daughter, Wanda Lovette of Coffeeville; two brothers, Marion "Smokey" Roberts of Chilton and Ernest K. Roberts of Coffeeville; 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Services were May 16 at Jones Chapel Church of Christ with interment in the church cemetery, directed by Lathan Funeral Home of Jackson.
Pallbearers were Dean Jones, Jeff Jones, Russell Roberts, Charles Reid, Zachary Roberts and Travis Glaze. Honorary pallbearers were Sam Shields, Gary and Tony Counselman and his sons.
