Richard Anthony Jackson

Richard "Rick" Anthony Jackson, 41, a native of Jackson and resident of Detroit, Mich. died May 9, 2007 at Huron Valley Sinai Hospital in Commerce Township, Mich. He attended The Original Church of God in Detroit. Mr. Jackson recently had received the employee of the month at Autumn Nursing Home, Lavonia, Mich. He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Jean Leggette Jackson.

Survivors include his father, Minister Elisha Jackson Jr. of Jackson; grandmother, Elizabeth Jackson of Daphne; a fiance, Chanda Johnson of Detroit; two sons, Richard Jackson and Kenneth Jackson, both of Detroit; two daughters, Alyssa Jackson and Kimmy Jackson, both of Detroit; a sister, Joyce (Willie) Horn of Detroit; a brother, Tracy (Sarita) Jackson of Jackson; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a great-nephew, all of Detroit.

Services will be conducted May 17 (Today), 12 noon, at Mt. Olive No. 1 Baptist Church in the Rockville community of Jackson with the Rev. Kevin Jackson, pastor and eulogist. Viewing will take place one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Andrews Funeral Home directing.

Pallbearers will be uncles, cousins and friends, with flower bearers to be aunts, cousins and friends.
