Stephanie Flowers receives merit award at University of Alabama

Stephanie R. Flowers, a junior majoring in communicative disorders and minoring in general business administration, received the Mary T. Hamner Outstanding Undergraduate Award on April 6, 2007 at the University of Alabama.

The annual merit scholarship is presented to an outstanding undergraduate and graduate student majoring in communicative disorders.

Flowers, the daughter of Earl and Denise Flowers, is a member of numerous selective honor societies including Cardinal Key, Phi Eta Sigma, Alpha Lambda Delta, Golden Key and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. She is also a member of the University Honors Program, National Student Speech Language Hearing Association and the 2005 University of Alabama Avanti Orientation Team. She plans to attend graduate school in speech-language pathology.
