Olive Hart Sherman Jones Olive Hart Sherman Jones, died May 5, 2007 at her residence in Carlton at the age of 90. A native of Carlton, she was a retired school teacher for the Clarke County Board of Education and a member of Rockville Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Betty Powell of Carlton; two sisters, Lorene Padgett of Grove Hill and Juanita Jones of Birmingham; brother, Ray Hart of Grove Hill; four grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. The funeral service was May 7 at Rockville Baptist Church with the Rev. Mark Dunn officiating. Interment was in the Wimberly Cemetery in Carlton with Lathan Funeral Home of Jackson directing. Pallbearers were Ernest Gunter, Chris Sherman, Richard Long, Johnny Reid, Tommy Windham and Rex Padgett.
Honorary pallbearers were the senior adults of Rockville Baptist Church.
