Clanton Family Reunion By Kathleen Dunagan The annual Clanton Family Reunion was held on April 29 at the home of Kathleen and Henry Dunagan in Coffeeville. Attendance was an all-time low with about 60 present. But the spirit and food were the usual. The Saturday golf tournament was played in Jackson with father and son team, Terry and Levi Dunagan of Montgomery winning the trophy. Others in the tournament were Sharon and Adam St. Laurent, Tim and Judd Mullinix and Henry Dunagan. On Saturday night (the 20th) the Dunagan and Mullinix families celebrated Levi's soon to be 16th birthday. On Sunday morning, flowers were placed at the First Baptist Church in Coffeeville in memory of George W. Clanton and Janie Etheredge Clanton. A number of the Clanton family attended the worship service. Also, a first cousin, Virginia Forsythe, drove from Bay Minette in time for church. A covered dish lunch was enjoyed on the carport and lawn. Afterwards, games and contests were enjoyed by the children. Winning the basketball free throw were Adam St. Laurent, Samuel Baker and Makayla Courington.
Hopefully next year a larger number will be back to the reunion.
