Cattlemen meet with state legislators
Following a recent meeting of the Alabama Cattlemen's Association Board of Directors at the ACA building in Montgomery, cattlemen from around Alabama converged on the Alabama State House to meet with their legislators. Most discussions focused on the DOT requirement bill currently before the Alabama Senate that relieves farmers of excessive regulations common only in the commercial trucking industry. "This is our opportunity to come to Montgomery and speak up on behalf of our industry. For the past 63 years, it's been grass roots leadership like this that's fueled the strength of the Alabama Cattlemen's Association," said Max Bozeman, Coffee County Cattleman and President of the Alabama Cattlemen's Association.
