Three charged with making meth in McIntosh
On May 2, 2007 Washington County Deputy Nick Reed received information from a concerned citizen that a meth lab was operating at a house on John Johnston Road in Charity Chapel. Reed, along with deputies Luke Singleton, Donnie Sullivan, Johnny Curry, Larry West and McIntosh Police Officer Brad Singleton went to the residence and could smell the odor of ammonia coming from the house. Inside the house they found an operating meth lab and approximately 8 grams of finished methamphetamine. The officers also found syringes used to inject the illegal drug, meth pipes and other paraphernalia. Other pieces of old labs were also found on the property. Three people at the residence were placed under arrest and other arrests are pending. Sidney J. Patrick, 43, of Citronelle was charged with first degree manufacturing of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was booked on $15,000 bond. Chad Rutledge, 28, of Sims Chapel was charged with first degree manufacturing of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was booked on $30,000 bond. Emmett N. Simpson, 30, of Citronelle was charged with first degree manufacturing of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance. He was booked on $20,000 bond. Other arrests Other arrests reported by the Washington County Sheriff's Department during the past week include: *Christina Weaver, 22, of Jackson was arrested April 30 and charged with domestic violence/ reckless endangerment and harassment. Bond was set at $6,000. *Charlotte M. Barnes, 25, of McIntosh was arrested April 30 and charged with violation of probation. *Charles William Manuel, 42, of Millry was taken into custody May 1 to serve one year for DUI. *Barbara Washington, 22, of Chatom was arrested May 1 and charged with violation of probation. Bond was set at $1,000. (Chatom P.D.) *Jesse Walker, 56, of Jackson was taken into custody May 1 to serve 55 days for DUI. *April Back, 25, of McIntosh was taken into custody May 1 to serve seven days for harassment/ menacing. *Heather M. Simpson, 30, of Eight Mile was arrested May 2 and charged with domestic violence. Bond was set at $1,000. *Bradley E. Simpson, 25, of Charity Chapel was arrested May 2 and charged with domestic violence. Bond was set at $1,000. *Staci J.Duet, 34, of Chatom was arrested May 2 and charged with two counts of possession of a forged instrument, driving while revoked and driving with a suspended license. No bond amount was listed. *Verzella J. Rivers, 31, of McIntosh was arrested May 2 and charged with having an expired tag and no insurance. No bond amount was listed. *Emmett N. Simpson, 30, of Citronelle was arrested May 2 and charged with first degree manufacturing of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance. He was ordered to see the judge. *Derrick Lushaun Rhodes, 28, of Citronelle was arrested May 3 and charged with possession of a controlled substance. No bond amount was listed. *Sheila Bourgnt, 36, of Citronelle was arrested May 3 and charged with driving with no insurance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $3,000. *Charles Nichols, 49, of Jackson was arrested May 4 and charged with DUI. No bond amount was listed. *Joey C. Reed, 41, of McIntosh was arrested May 4 and charged with third degree criminal mischief and domestic violence/harassment. Bond was set at $5,000. *Travis D. Chaney, 24, of Jackson was arrested May 4 and charged with third degree theft of property. Bond was set at $2,500. *Connie Sue West, 37, of Pascagoula, Miss. was arrested May 4 and charged with third degree theft of property and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $3,000. *Donald Wayne Ray Jr., 33, of Wilmer was arrested May 5 on a warrant for giving false information to a police officer. Bond was set at $500. *Mark Duane Henderson, 45, of Citronelle was arrested May 5 and charged with second degree possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $2,500. *Larry Kyle Carpenter, 20, of Millry was arrested May 5 and charged with two counts of failure to appear. Bond was set at $700. *Charlotte Cook Fluker, 47, of Butler was arrested May 6 and charged with negotiation of a worthless negotiable instrument. No bond amount was listed.
*Pamela Jo Dixon, 36, of Tibbie was arrested May 7 and charged with careless driving. No bond amount was listed.
