Leroy firefighters help free trapped motorists
Leroy volunteer firefighters were called out to assist with the extracation of four people from a Jeep Grand Cherokee that ran off Highway 43 and overturned early Sunday morning. The driver was Charles Ray Love, Jr., 19, of Pine Hill. The names of his three passengers were not available. All four were taken to Jackson Medical Center. The extent of their injuries was not known at press time. The vehicle ran off the northbound lanes into the grassy median, crossed back over the highway and flipped in the parking lot of Leroy Motors. Trooper Darrell Linder investigated the accident. Christopher Hughes of Call ChristopherWrecker Service in Grove Hill had already loaded the vehicle when this photo was made. Hughes said he had a busy weekend, working seven accidents since Friday.
