Parrish accepts honor
Clarke County student Katie Parrish of Thomasville Elementary School, left, accepts her award for honorable mention in the Alabama Farm-City Committee's poster contest from Alabama Farmers' Federation Executive Director Mike Kilgore. Parrish received the honor at the Farm-City Awards luncheon conducted on April 16 in Birmingham. As one of 10 honorable mention winners, she received a $25 check and her poster will appear in the Alabama Farm-City Committee's 2008 calendar.
