'Summer Enrichment Program' registration is May 15 at LHS Leroy High School (LHS) 21st Century Community Learning Center announces their Summer Enrichment program registration on Tuesday, May 15 from 3-5 p.m. Registration will be conducted at LHS Library Media Center. The fee is $20 per week. Due to limited space, 24 students per session, no discounts are offered this summer. The program is open to all students in Washington County and the Jackson communities. All enrollment is based upon first come, first serve. Classes will fill quickly so plan to arrive early. For more information contact Betty Brackin at 251-246-2199 for additional information. Summer Programs *June 4-8 (8 a.m. - 12 p.m.) - Science Extravaganza. Explore the world through the wonders of science. Walk in the world of animals and see inside earthworms, scorpions, crayfish and sharks. Investigate the magic of weather and make wave bottles, kites and rockets. (All materials are provided) *June 11-15 (8 a.m. - 12 p.m.) The Hidden World of Mathematics and Art. All you need is a little information, inspiration and imagination for the mathematics and art camp. Combine math and art using geometric figures and measurements, paint, sculpt, create mosaics and origami and construct amazing sand art. (All supplies provided) *June 18-22 (8 a.m.-12 p.m.) Pump It Up. Get physically fit with parachutes, croquet, action games, hurdles, hoops, hoppers, scooters, archery, cheerleading, water games, slip and slide and more. (Each participant will receive an activity bag) *June 25-29 (8a.m.-12 p.m.) Passport Fun Geography. Visit countries such as China, Germany, Mexico, Italy and more to learn traditional and not-so-traditional customs, foods and traditions. Suitcases will be filled with unique projects and souvenirs.
A mid-morning snack will be provided each day to all participants free.
