Rotary wins four out of five in Little League action

In Jackson Little League action, Rotary has started off the season with a bang, knocking off four of the five teams it has faced.

Rotary 10, Moseley Insurance 2 Rotary began with a 10-2 win over Moseley Insurance.

Leading hitters for Rotary were Daniel Coleman with 1, Jarad Thomas with 2, Gaige Raley with 3 and Lane Autry with 1.

Caleb Anderson and Jared Thomas both saw time on the mound. Getting hits for M o s e l e y Insurance were Chase Gunter, Will Stewart, Tyler Hayes and B r a n d o n Harper.

Rotary 4,

Fire Dept. 2

Rotary's next game against the Fire Dept. ended with a 4- 2 win. Thomas and Anderson both saw time on the mound.

Making hits were Jacob Wil-liams, Thomas, Anderson Raley and Tyler Andrews, all with one hit each.

Hitters for the Fire Dept. were Jansen Deas, Caleb Carpenter, William Davis, Randy Bumpers and Jerel Merida.

Rotary 8, Napa 7

Anderson and Thomas were again both pitchers in an 8-7 win over Napa for Rotary's third game of the season.

Top hitters for Rotary were Anderson with 2, and Autry with 1.

Napa's hitters were Colten Howell, Cortez Williams and Kevin Alford.

South Alabamian 5, Rotary 4

South Alabamian team handed Rotary its first loss pulling off a 5-4 win.

Top hitters for South Alabamian were Matt Barton with, Tyler Smith, John Watkins, Cole Dunn each with 1 and D. Deas with 2.

Rotary's hitters were Raley, Williams, Anderson, each with 1 and Anthony Sexton who slammed in a home run.

Anderson pitched the entire game for Rotary.

Rotary 4, Civitan 3 The Rotary team took home a 4-3 victory over Civitan, Tuesday.

Leading Rotary on the mound were Anderson and Thomas.

Making hits were Raley, Williams, Thomas, Anderson, all with 1 each, Andrews with 2 and Autry with 2, one of which was a home run.

Civitan hitters were Kyle Poelnitz, William Overstreet, Drake Stringer with 1 each and Lacon Harvey who had 2.
