Participate in 'Spring Clean-Up'
The Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce's Spring Clean-Up was a success this year, according to Director LaShaunda Holly The clubs/organizations and businesses that picked up litter on Saturday included over 100 participants that collected over 1,500 pounds of garbage. "I would like to thank the wonderful volunteers who took the time to pick up litter," said Holly. "Jackson is blessed with community-minded individuals and groups who are dedicated to improving our wonderful city." On April 21 volunteers were able to come by the chamber office and pick up trash bags, gloves, vests, coffee, orange juice and water. While there, they were treated to breakfast provided by McDonald's. Holly thanked everyone who participated in the event.
