Lon Beech

Lon Beech, 85, a native and resident of Chatom, died April 17, 2007 in a Mobile hospital. A retired yard foreman for Forest Products Co., he was a member of the Springhill Baptist Church in Chatom.

Survivors include a daughter, Adriann (Sam) Loper of Chatom and caregiver and special friend, Brenda Leverett of Chatom.

The funeral service was April 19 in the chapel of Lathan Funeral Home in Chatom with Dr. Paul Petcher and Edward Moss officiating. Interment was in the Springbank Baptist Cemetery in Chatom.

Pallbearers were Leonard Thompson, Perry Dickey, Randy Shipp, Norvelle Jones, Jimmy Ferguson and Brad Ferguson.

Honorary pallbearers were Joe Whitsett, Perry Dearmon, Burnell Godwin, Henry Loper Jr. and Lewis Kirksey.
