Moss - Smith exchange vows on March 10
The Rev. David Webb officiated the 2 p.m. service. Parents of the couple are Rodney Smith of Grove Hill and Linda and Barry Simpson of Ledbetter, Ky. and Janice and Thomas Moss of Chatom. A large candelabra was placed in the center of the altar. Two arrangements of fresh spring flowers were placed on either side. Boston ferns were placed throughout the church and candles accented with bay leaves were placed in the recesses of the windows. "Surely the Presence" and "I Do" were performed by Diann Webb, pianist and Emily Smith, soloist. The bride, given in marriage by her grandparents, Deloris and Benny Counselman, wore a dress of white satin. The front and back yolks and sleeves were made of white chiffon adorned with satin binding and handsewn pearls. The drop-waist and train were accented with Alencon lace. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of pink roses, miniature calla lilies with stephanotis centered with small white pearls and iridescent beads and ribbons. Matron of honor was Theresa Kinman of Boyle, Miss., aunt of the bride. Serving as maid of honor was Jennifer Moss of Chatom, sister of the groom. Emily Smith of Grove Hill, cousin of the bride, was the bridesmaid. Senior maids wore rose-colored two-piece strapless dresses with attached bust drape and shawl made of rose chiffon with satin crepe back and train and carried stems of pink roses and carnations wrapped in pink satin ribbon. Junior bridesmaids were Kayla Smith of Jackson, sister of the bride, and Ashlyn and Lauren Kinman of Boyle, cousins of the bride. They wore empire waist dresses of rose satin. Streamers fell from the back waist where three handsewn roses were placed. Natalie Kinman of Boyle, cousin of the bride, was the flower girl. She wore a white satin sleeveless long dress with square neck accented with white satin ribbon around the skirt and a train attached with a white satin bow. All the dresses were handsewn by the bride's grandmother, Deloris Counselman. Serving as best man was the groom's father. Groomsmen were Chad Loper, Tom Moss, Tracy Loper, Clayton Sullivan, all of Chatom and cousins of the groom and Justin Smith of Grove Hill, brother of the bride. Noah Smith of Grove Hill, cousin of the bride, was the ring bearer. Reception A reception was held in the fellowship hall of the church. A silver fountain with flowing punch, centered the room. Large arrangements of spring flowers and ferns were placed on pedestals throughout the room. Tables with white linen cloths were situated throughout the room and held centerpieces of fresh pink roses and candles. A buffet of assorted foods and desserts was available to guests.
The couple is making their home in Chatom.
