There's a new face at the Chatom Police Department.

Teresa Williams of Chatom was recently hired as the department's new administrative police clerk. Her main duties include filing reports, paperwork, and assisting the chief in the office. She has nine years of management experience.

"I look forward to working with the police department and learning about its day-to-day operations," said Williams.

"Her being here will take a tremendous load off of me," said Chief Duane Garrick. "Teresa has already proven to be an asset to the department. This will allow me more time to get out with the other officers, as well as visiting businesses finding out what some of their concerns are."

Williams is the mother of three children, Breana, Jacob and Johnathan.
