McIntosh PD happy with office renovations

The interior of the McIntosh Police Department has a new look, making it more userfriendly for the officers who serve the town.

According to Sgt. Walter Conner, Chief Charles Koger made the decision to have the interior of the office renovated giving officers both privacy and more room to work. New counters and work stations were built and installed and a new wall covering was added to give the station a more updated look.

With additional computers, the department will have a total of six computer work stations. The new taller front counters, equipped with a gate, offer more privacy and protection for the officers. In addition there is a more private area for alcohol breathalizer testing.

"Everyone is happy with the way the renovations turned out," said Conner. "The chief is to be commended for his vision and design ideas."

Independent contractor Christopher Murphy completed the renovations for the department. "Chris did a great job," added Conner.
