Jackson man charged with child abuse Larry Hunt of Jackson, was arrested, April 23 on a warrant charging him with child abuse. The incident, involving two children, a 10-year-old female and an 11- year-old male, was reported to Jackson Police March 27. The abuse, allegedly committed by Hunt who is the children's stepfather, is said to have taken place around March 24. Hunt was taken into custody by Clarke County Deputy Ron Baggett and Jackson Police Officer John Downey. He faces charges of torture and willful abuse. He is accused of excessively whipping the children with a belt, striking them up to 25 times each.
