CCSWCD announces 2007 poster and essay winners

The Clarke County Soil & Water Conservation District announces their poster and essay winners for 2007.

Winners of the poster contest for the Clarke County Soil & Water Conservation District are 2nd place winner, Kenton Brasell, and 1st place winner, Forrest Campbell, Both students are third graders attending the Thomasville Elementary School.

The title for the Poster Contest was "Conservation Power". Campbell's poster will compete in the Area VI competition.

First place winner in the 4-6th grade level is Antwan Jones who is in the fifth grade at Thomasville Middle School.

Jones' poster will also compete at the Area VI competition.

The 1st place winner of the 2007 Essay Contest is Austin Bedwell. He attends Clarke Prep School in Grove Hill and is in the seventh grade.

The title of the essay is "Conservation Power". Austin's essay will now compete in the Area VI competition.

First place winners of the poster contest received $20 and second place, $10.

The first place essay winners received $50 each.
The 4-6th grade poster contest winner is Antwan Jones, a fifth grader at Thomasville Middle School.
