JMS announces honor students
      Jackson Middle School recently announced its honor roll students for the third nine weeks. A Honor Roll Grade 6 Matthew Barton, Tyler Beck, Cammie Cotten, Chloe Dumas, Kristoffer Merkel, William Overstreet, Yana Rodgers and Samantha Williamson.

McKenzie receives scholarship to UAB
      Michelle McKenzie is the recipient of a one-year University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Dottie Monro Presidential Minority Scholarship valued at $2,500. She is the daughter of Ella and David McKenzie of Jackson. McKenzie is a senior at Jackson High School and also attends classes at UAB.

Coffeeville High School receives grant
      On Monday, April 9, Sen. Pat Lindsey presented Coffeeville High School Principal Janice Richardson with a $10,000 grant to be used to purchase computers. The money will be used to replace outdated equipment in both the elementary and high school computer labs.
