Murder trials on Clarke County court schedule

Criminal jury term will begin in Clarke County Circuit Court Monday, April 9.

There are two murder cases and two attempted murder cases scheduled for trial.

Nathan Lee Chapman is charged with the murder of Kelvin Foster. Foster's body was found at the corner of Highway 5 and East Main Street in Fulton Dec. 1, 2005. Foster had been shot in the back. Several hours later Chapman turned himself in at the Clarke County Sheriff's Department.

Calvin Stephens was indicted for reckless murder/vehicular homicide in Aug. 2006. Stephens was involved in a traffic accident that caused the death of Melanie D. Darrington.

Justin Trayvon Myles is charged with two counts of attempted murder. He was indicted in February for shooting Travis Stubbs twice.

Nathan Lee Chapman, murder.

Lonzo Head, possession of forged instrument, second degree, five counts, pistol-certain persons forbidden to carry firearms, alcohol-possession in vehicle, no child restraint, violation driver's license restrictions, operating vehicle without insurance.
