Domestic dispute turns bloody Adomestic dispute between a man and woman in Jackson, March 31, turned violent with both requiring medical attention for cuts received during an altercation. According to Jackson Police reports, the department received a call at 2:45 p.m. that two people had been stabbed at 909 Depot Road. First to arrive on the scene was Sgt. Willie Williams, who observed John Frazier Sims, 40, of Jackson and Yolanda Jackson of Rockville, 41, involved in an altercation. Sgt. Williams stated that when he arrived Jackson had a box cutter to Sims' throat. The officer wrestled with the female subject and was able to take the box cutter away from her. Williams said he also observed Sims with a stick in his hand that he had allegedly stabbed Jackson with in the temple area on the left side of her head, causing her to bleed profusely. Sims suffered multiple cuts, including three to his chest, three to his left arm, several across the left side of his face and one to his right hand. Both subjects were transported to Jackson Medical Center, Jackson by JETS ambulance and Sims by private vehicle, where they were treated for their injuries. After receiving treatment, the pair were each booked into the Clarke County Jail on charges of aggravated assault and second degree domestic violence.
Officer Jason Thomas also responded and assisted Williams with the incident.
