Lady Aggies compete in Thomasville tourney

      The Jackson Lady Aggies started the season off with two losses to Hueytown and one to Thomasville two weeks ago. They picked up with their first win over the Lady Bulldogs of Sweet Water on Monday 7-0. Brittney Stitcher went seven innings and gave up two hits and two walks and struck out six.

Leroy baseball hits 5-0 run in Tombigbee Classic

Miller's Ferry hosts STG fishing tourney
      Dan Burford and Don Lauderdale weighed in a fivefish limit of bass that tipped the scales at 17.95 pounds to take the Miller's Ferry Open title of the 2007 Share the Gospel Tournament Trail on Feb. 24 out of Ellis Landing. Lady Demons win second straight title

      The McIntosh High School Lady Demons won their second state championship in a row this past week when they defeated the Golden Bears of Hazlewood 79-67. They also defeated Hazlewood last year 105-59 for the title.
