Recent tornadoes dredge up childhood memories

      The recent outbreak of destructive tornadoes across the southeast has caused me to dredge up some old memories of some of my experiences with tornadoes. I have never experienced a direct hit from a tornado, but I have had some close calls and seen up close and personal, some of their results.

      Too often when bad weather blows up, a lot of us think, "Oh well, it won't hit us" and we ignore the TV and radio warnings and the sirens, if they are within our hearing.
