Aggies tame Wildcats and Bears

The Jackson High School baseball team sent their overall record to 5-1 with a win over Millry and a doubleheader win over Leroy.
On Thursday, the Aggies defeated Coach Shane Hendry's Millry Wildcats 11-0. Jamie Eckstien pitched a one-hit, complete game gem. Jon Luke Jacobs, Kent Myer and Williams Taylor all went 2-3 against the Wildcats. Logan Murphy also picked up a double and two RBIs.
On Saturday, the Aggies knocked off the Leroy Bears in a doubleheader 11-10 and 9-5.
Sam Griffin grabbed the win in game one after coming in the game in the seventh inning. Jackson trailed the entire ball game, but rallied back to defeat Coach Danny Powell's Leroy Bears. Jacobs, Myer and Taylor all went 3-4. The Aggies combined for 17 hits in the first contest.
"Leroy got on our pitching early in this one, but we were able to scratch our way back and get a win," said Jackson Head Coach Jason Jones.

In game two, Kent Myer picked up the win while Leroy's Brittian Schultz took the loss. Jacobs and Myer went 2-4 while Taylor went 3-3 with a double. Eckstien went 1-4 with a double and three RBIs.
