Sheriff's department recovers stolen truck
By Evan Carden SA Editor

Washington County deputies recovered a pickup truck, Feb. 23, which had been reported stolen from a north Mobile County paint and body shop.

According to Maj. Kesler Weaver, a 1999 GMC black pickup truck, which belonged to Dothan E. Morgan Jr. of Semmes, had been taken from the Highway 45 Body Shop in Citronelle.

"We received a call from a citizen in the Fairford area who stated they saw someone driving the truck in that area," said Weaver. "Deputies responded and the truck was recovered from a location on the Powell Johnson Road."

Weaver said that there is a suspect in the case, but because it is still under investigation his name cannot currently be released. No arrests have yet been made.
