The Jackson High School boy's basketball team ended their 2007 season run with a tough 54-47 loss to the Bulldogs of Andalusia

Jackson led by as many as 14 points in late as the third quarter and led by 12 points to start the fourth quarter. The Bulldogs went on a 23-5 run in the fourth period to knock off the favored Aggies.

Derrick Jackson led the Aggies with 17 points while sophomore Corey Besteda knocked home 11 points. Jackson finished their season with a 19-11 record. Niko Johnson and Brandon Sims combined to score 23 points for Andalusia, who will face Handley in Troy.

"We had them right where we wanted them, but we just could not hang on," said JHS Coach Marcus Caster. "They pressed us late and we turned the ball over."
