WashCo Library annual art auction planned for Feb. 23

The annual Art Auction and Dinner at the Chatom Community Center is the highlight of the winter season in Washington County and is a major source of income for the Washington County Library. This year's event will take place Feb. 23.

The viewing of the works of art, which range from needle work to paintings to Washington County memorabilia, will be from 5:30 to 6: 30 p.m. Dinner is at 6:30 followed by the live auction. Attendees will be entertained by live music during the pre-dinner hour.

Tickets for $25 are now on sale for the evening and the number is limited due to space constraints. Penny Schell, chairman of the Friends of the Library said there are only a few tickets left. All proceeds go toward the support of the Washington County Public Library.
