By Evan Carden

Andrew James Gaston
A Jackson man is facing rape charges following incidents with two teenage girls Jan. 27.

Andrew James Gaston, 45, was arrested by Jackson police following complaints by the 15 and 16-year-old victims. According to investigating officer Richard Harvey, the alleged incidents occurred at a location on Oak Street, one around 1:30 p.m. and the other at approximately 8 p.m. He added that both victims were acquainted with the suspect.

Gaston was arrested and booked into the Clarke County Jail where he is being held without bond, following a hearing in which his bond was revoked.

Prior to his Jan. 27 arrest, Gaston was indicted by a Clarke County Grand Jury on a felony assault charge related to a burglary which occurred in August of 2006.
