Mr. and Mrs. Sims renewing vows Feb. 10
      Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Sims Sr. of Sunflower will be renewing their wedding vows on Saturday, Feb. 10, 4 p.m. at the Jackson National Guard Armory located on Highway 69. The couple was married Jan. 31, 1957. Mr. Sims is retired from C.E. Harrell Logging and Mrs. Sims, Vanity Fair.

Gaillard named to UAH scholars list
      William Gaillard of Jackson was named to the University of Alabama in Huntsville Scholars List for the fall semester of 2006. Scholars must maintain a 3.0- 3.4999 grade-point average and complete a minimum of 12 semester hours of credit. Gaillard is the son of Heidi and Tommy Gaillard of Jackson.
