Mark Your Calendar Coffeeville RSVP to meet The Coffeeville RSVP will be meeting on Feb. 6, 2 p.m. at the Nutrition Center. Everyone is invited to come help choose the Valentine Sweetheart for 2007. Regional CAC annual Valentine fund-raiser The Regional Child Advocacy Center (CAC) is hosting its annual Singing Valentine fund-raiser on Feb. 14 from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. There will be singers in Thomasville, Grove Hill and Jackson who will deliver valentine song to a loved one for a tax deductible donation of $20 for an individual and $50 for a group. For more information contact Mary English at the CAC, 251-275- 2804. Regional Child Advocacy Center dinner and auction The Regional Child Advocacy Center Inc. (CAC) is conducting its dinner and auction on Tuesday, March at the Fish House in Jackson. The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. There will be items for silent auction, a live auction and door prizes. Admission is $25 and includes both auctions and steak and shrimp dinner. All proceeds will benefit the two programs under the nonprofit agency, the Child Advocacy Center and Almost Home. Gulf Coast Renaissance Faire March 3-4 The Gulf Coast Renaissance Faire located at Pensacola Interstate Fairgrounds, 6655 Mobile Highway in Pensacola, is planned for March 3-4 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. daily. ACDEA accepting scholarship applications The Alabama Conservation District Employees Association will be accepting scholarship applications throughout the state of Alabama from high school seniors for one, $500 scholarship to be awarded to a student who is a resident of the state of Alabama and is planning to attend an Alabama college the summer or fall of 2007. The deadline for completed scholarship applications is March 5. Clarke County Cattleman's Assn. dinner Feb. 3 The Clarke County Cattleman's Association is conducting its annual dinner meeting on Saturday, Feb. 3, 6:30 p.m. at Clarke Prep School in Grove Hill. Dr. Tony Frazier of Auburn University will be the guest speaker. Jackson Little League registration Jackson Little League registration is scheduled for Feb. 6 and 8 and Feb. 13 and 15 from 4:30-7:30 each evening at the North Jackson Little League Park. The cost is $45 and a birth certificate is required. Tryouts for 9-12 year olds is March 3 and 10. Members of the board of the Jackson Little League Association are Jerry Bradley, president, Bud Powell, vice president, Ryan Gates, secretary and Paul Walker, treasurer. Clarke County Voters League Black History Tea Feb. 24 The Clarke County Voters League annual Black History Tea is planned for Saturday, Feb. 24, 7 p.m. at the Jackson Intermediate School cafeteria in Jackson. Guest speaker will be B.J. McCullough of Montgomery. President J.W. Andrews and program chairperson, Janet James, invite everyone to attend. JHS Class of 1987 planning reunion The Jackson High Class of 1987 is planning a 20th class reunion. A meeting will be conducted on Feb. 25, 3 p.m. at Visitation Catholic Church in Jackson.
