JA boys fall short against WAP

The Jackson Academy Eagles were defeated by West Alabama Prep in Demopolis on Friday night 50-42. Scoring for the Eagles were Wesley Harris with 12 points, Drew Jones with 11 points and David Hughston with 8 points.

The Eagles are now 0-1 in area play, losing to Wilcox 56- 46 last week. Patton Williams led Jackson Academy with 13 points.

For the season, the Eagles have a 1-11 record. Their only win came over Patrician by a 27-26 victory. Williams, Harris and Jones were the top scorers.

The JA team played in the Southern Tournament where Williams received all-tournament recognition.

In a summary for the season, Williams has 106 points, Hughston has 62 points, Wesley Roberson with 27, Harris has 75 and Jones has 60. Other team members are Dent Beard and Matthew Roberson.
