Leroy boys and girls fight in area play

The Leroy boys got a big win over the week as well as taking a tough loss to the Jackson Aggies.
The Bears fell to Jackson on Friday by a score of 82-38. DeMarcus Besteda and Josh Coleman both added 12 points for the Aggies while Leroy was paced by Evan Vice with 10 points. Mandrel Refour trailed Vice with 7 points.
Getting back on the winning track Saturday night, Leroy hosted the Bayside Academy Admirals. The Bears snagged a 60-55 victory over the Admirals sending their record to 2-8. They were paced by Charles Williams with 28 points, who knocked down four straight treys in the first half. He was trailed by Joe Fields with 10.
Leroy plays host to Excel on Friday and Sweet Water Saturday. The Bears hosted Flomaton on Tuesday, but results were unavailable at press time.
