JHS boys and girls in action this week

The Lady Aggies salvaged one of three games this past week, which was against Leroy.

The girls got the week started in tough fashion in a 68-34 loss to the Lady Blue Devils from Escambia County. Johnneshia Donald led Jackson with 10 points, followed by Mia Parker with 6. Courtney English led the Lady Blue Devils in scoring with 19 points. This loss moved the Lady Aggies to 0-1 in 4A Area 1 play.

On Friday night, the Lady Aggies played host to the Lady Bears from Leroy and pulled out a 44-37 win. Alexandra James paced Jackson with 14 points, followed by Shanavia Ervin with 7 points. The Lady Bears were led on offense by Ada Collins with 25 points.

Jackson wrapped up the week with a 46-40 loss on the road to the Satsuma Gators. James led the Aggies with 11 points, trailed by Genesis Bernard with 9 points. Satsuma was led by Jasheeba Woodard with 16 points.

The Lady Aggies now move to 5-9 on the season with Thomasville, Friday, Washington County Saturday and Leroy on Monday. All of these games will be played on the road.
