Mark Your Calendar Dixie League meeting planned The Dixie League meeting will be Friday, Jan. 19, 6 p.m. at the Jackson Steakhouse. Anyone wanting to coach should attend the meeting. Contact Dawn Rynders at 246-5903. JHS Class of 1987 planning reunion The Jackson High Class of 1987 is planning a 20th class reunion. A meeting will be conducted on Feb. 25, 3 p.m. at Visitation Catholic Church in Jackson. Jackson's Relay for Life kick-off party Jackson's American Cancer Society's Relay for Life kickoff party is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 11 (today) at 5:30 p.m. The party will be conducted in the upstairs activity room at HealthActions. CCCADC hosting breakfast The Clarke County Chapter of the Alabama Democratic Conference will be hosting the third annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. birthday prayer breakfast on Saturday, Jan. 13, 8 a.m. at the Jackson Steakhouse. Tickets will be $10 and can be purchased from any member. Guest speaker will be District Judge Jo Celeste Pettway. Johnnie Byrd is the chairman. CCCDC and 3C Coalition to meet The Clarke County Community Development Corporation and the 3C Coalition will be conducting a joint meeting on Saturday, Jan. 13, 11 a.m. at Mt. Olive No. 2 Baptist Church to discuss issues of the Harper High School, located on J.W. Andrews Highway in Jackson. Pastor at Mt. Olive No. 2 is the Rev. D.W. Moore. The public is invited to attend. CCHS planing 25-year reunion Members of the Clarke County High School Class of 1982 are planning a 25-year class reunion. VFW 5355 meetings The VFW Post 5355 and ladies auxiliary meets the third Thursday of every month, 6 p.m., at the VFW Club on Club Wiley Road. Members are urged to attend and new members are welcome. Sickle Cell support Sickle Cell education and support group meets the first Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m., at Grove Hill Memorial Hospital. Diabetic support The Diabetic Support Group meets the first and third Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m. in the dining room at Grove Hill Memorial Hospital.
