      New online system in place as JA classes begin Aug. 8 Jackson Academy will start the new school year Aug. 8 with students attending a half day, dismissing at 11:30 a.m. Eline, an online system, has been subscribed to by the school to help improve communications between parents and school personnel.

Waller awarded scholarships, will attend Auburn University
      Todd Waller, a 2007 graduate of Jackson High School, has received numerous scholarships. Waller received the Advancement Scholarship and the Spirit of Auburn Scholarship from Auburn University.

Etheridge on Troy University Provost List
      Troy University has announced its honor students for summer semester, according to Dr. Ed Roach, Senior executive vice chancellor and provost. Schuyler Etheridge of Jackson was among students named to the Provost List. Full-time undergraduate students who earned a grade-point average of 3.65 or higher on a 4.0 scale are recognized on the Provost's List.

Moore completes AF training
      Air Force Airman 1st Class Samantha L. Moore has graduated from the First Term Airman Center at Charleston Air Force Base, S.C. The center assists first term airmen to transition from the controlled environment of basic military training and technical school to a self-disciplined, missionoriented environment at their first duty station.
