Parties conducted in honor of Skipper - Reeves
Several showers were recently given in honor of Courtney Elizabeth Skipper and John Calvin "Cal" Reeves.
Handyman and
Honey-Do Shower
A handyman and honey-do shower was conducted at Headquarters in Jackson on Saturday, March 31, 2007.
Hosting the event were Tinika and Paul Criswell, Tiffani and Grant Dunagan, sister and brother-in-law of the groomelect, Jessica and David Skipper, Jennifer and George Skipper and Debra and Richard Skipper, all cousins of the brideelect.
Potted kalanchoes were placed at the center of each table.
A variety of appetizers were served and dinner included ribs, chicken, coleslaw, baked beans and dessert.
The couple received numerous handyman gifts and garden tools for their home.
Special guests attending were parents of the bride-elect, Helen and Joe Skipper, brother of the bride-elect, Jonathan Skipper and cousins of the bride-elect, Meagan Skipper, and Shae and Gray Skipper and father of the groom-elect, John Reeves.
A stainless steel barbecue grill with cooking utensils were presented to the couple from the hosts.
Bridal Tea
A bridal tea was conducted on Sunday, April 1 in the Christian Life Center parlor of the First United Methodist Church in Jackson.
Approximately 80 guests were in attendance.
Hostesses were Mrs. David Brown, Mrs. Jake Brown, Mrs. Kenneth Brown, Mrs. Mike Breedlove, Mrs. Earl Flowers, Mrs. Jim Fore, Mrs. Billy Guy, Mrs. Howard Jones, Mrs. Gaines McCorquodale, Mrs. Buddy Noble, Mrs. Rhett Payne Jr., Mrs. Larry Smith, Mrs. Marsha Taylor, Mrs. Don Terrell, Mrs. John Waters and Mrs. Ernest Woodson.
A large arrangement of fresh cut spring flowers centered the dining table.
Petit-fours, pecans and mints, designed and made by Sally Outlaw and Hannah Jones, along with punch, were served.
Attending as special guests were Helen Skipper, Shae Skipper and Debra Skipper, mother and cousins of the brideelect, respectively.
