Clarke County Circuit Judge Stuart DuBose stepped aside from hearing an appeal by Boise to reduce its tax bill on the Jackson paper mill operations. Boise filed a challenge last fall to the Clarke County Board of Equalization's assessment of certain parts of the Jackson mill and the challenge was set to be heard by DuBose Monday. More...

Criminal jury term will begin in Clarke County Circuit Court Monday, April 9. There are two murder cases and two attempted murder cases scheduled for trial.
