Albert Thomas Bazor Albert Thomas Bazor, 74, died March 3, 2007 at William F. Green Veterans Home in Bay Minette. He was a native of Semmes and a resident of Tibbie. A retired Merchant Seaman with Seafarer's International, he was a member of Crossroads Church of God in Tibbie. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and a recipient of the Purple Heart.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley H. Bazor of Tibbie; two sons, Thomas Albert Bazor of Tibbie and Martin Edward Bazor of Perdido; two brothers, Corbit Bazor of Mobile and Norris Bazor of Wilmer and three grandchildren.

The funeral service was March 7 at Lathan Funeral Home in Chatom with the Rev. Al Brown officiating. Burial was in the Semmes First Baptist Cemetery in Semmes.

Joseph Woodie

Thompson Sr. Joseph Woodie Thompson Sr., 82, a native of Yarbo and a resident of Chatom, died Feb. 27, 2007 at an area hospital. He was a self-employed merchant operating the 10-to-10 Market in Millry and Joe's Grocery in Chatom. A member of the First Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge, both in Chatom, he was a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Katie Eloise Hardy Thompson of Chatom; son, Joe Woodie Thompson Jr. of Chatom; two brothers, James Thompson of Alexander City and William Franklin "Manny" Thompson of Chatom; two sisters, Dorothy Cox of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla. and Jimmie Chancery of Mobile; three grandchildren, Joseph David Thompson, Katie Ellen Thompson and Sarah Elizabeth Shirley.

A graveside service was conducted on March 2 at Spring Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Chatom with Lathan Funeral Home of Chatom directing.

Alvin Lee Garabrandt Jr. Alvin Lee Garabrandt Jr., a Marine veteran, died Feb. 27, 2007 at his home in Bigbee at the age of 51.

Survivors include his mother, Johnnie Mae Gibson of Bigbee; sister, Florene Gibson of Bigbee and brother, Charlie Gibson of Bigbee.

The funeral service was March 2 at St. Stephens Funeral Home in St. Stephens with Bros. Lamar Chapman, Ernest Henson and Paul Cartmill, officiating. Interment was conducted at Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Bigbee with a full military honor guard service.

Pallbearers were James Jordan, Bobby Jordan, Marcus Henson, Joshua Parden, Al Koen and Buddy Warrick.

Lula Mae Todd Hundley Lula Mae Todd Hundley, 99, a native of Toddtown, died March 4, 2007 at the Twin Oaks Nursing Home in Mobile. She was preceded in death by her husband, John V. Hundley, parents, the Rev. Gross and Litha Todd and grandparents, Hanna and Westry Pugh and Sarah and Sam Todd.

She is survived by her son, Derrick Jack of Mobile and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

The funeral service will be Saturday, March 10, 11 a.m. at Pine Chapel Baptist Church No. 2 in Toddtown. Viewing will be one hour prior to service. Interment will be in the church cemetery with Jackson Memorial Funeral Home directing.

Doretha Bonner King Doretha Bonner King, 72, a native of Toddtown and a resident of Jackson, died Feb. 21, 2007 at her home. She was a member of Jackson A.O.H. Church in Jackson where she served on the Mother Board and a former member of Pine Chapel No. 2 Baptist Church of Toddtown.

She is survived by her husband, Albert Dean King Sr.; three sons, Otis Lee Bonner of Marietta, Ga., Albert Dean King Jr. of Jackson and Edward (Paula) King of Bristo, Va.; eight daughters, Elouise Bonner, Doris King, Ruthie (Cecil) King, Cassie (Larry) Williams, Harriet (Wade) Jackson and Anelizabeth (Stanley) Johnson, all of Jackson, Minnie Lee King of Austin, Texas and Ora (Ray) Harris of Montgomery; 24 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

The funeral service was Feb. 27 at the Jackson A.O.H. Church with Overseer Frank Mitchell, pastor, officiating. Interment was in Pine Chapel No. 2 Baptist Church Cemetery in Toddtown with Jackson Memorial Funeral Home directing.

Frankie Lee Mitchell Frankie Lee Mitchell, a resident of Utica, N.Y., and a native of Jackson, died Feb. 22, 2007 at the age of 73.

Survivors include a daughter, Safronia Camper of Jackson, Miss.; three sisters, Elizabeth Mitchell of McIntosh, Mary Brooks of Federalway, Wash. and Mary Mitchell of Mobile; three brothers, Daniel Mitchell of Montgomery, Fair Mitchell of Winston Salem, N.C. and James White of Racine, Wis. and four grandchildren.

The funeral service was March 3 at Mt. Sinai No. 1 Baptist Church in Jackson. Burial was in the Blackwell Cemetery in Jackson with Jackson Memorial Funeral Home directing.

Mary Edna Reed Williams Mary Edna Reed Williams, 64, a native and resident of McIntosh, died March 5, 2007 at her residence. She was a member of the Church of God Deliverance in McIntosh.

Survivors include four sons, Herman (Barbara) Williams of Charleston, S.C., Ray (Shavon) Reed and Kenny Ray Austin, both of Mobile, Roy Williams of New Orleans, La.; four daughters, Mary (Vick) Barnes, Amy (Aaron) Reed, Rachel Williams and Chorttle (Chuckie) Barnes, all of McIntosh; two sisters, Pearlie Mae (Phillip) Brown and Marsetta (Warren) Thrash, both of McIntosh; two brothers, Elbert Lee Reed and Robert (Malanda) Reed, both of McIntosh; 29 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be Saturday, March 10, 2 p.m. at the Church of God Deliverance in McIntosh with Pastor Willie D. Roberts officiating. Viewing will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Vaughn Cemetery of McIntosh with Jackson Memorial Funeral Home directing.

Rosie Earl Williams Rosie Earl Williams, 83, a native and resident of Coffeeville, died March 5, 2007 at Jackson Medical Center. She was a homemaker and member of Cedar Point Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher, president of the usher board, on the pulpit committee and the Baptist Training Union. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hatcher Williams and Edna Crum Williams two sisters, Minnie Mac Osborne and Victoria Thornton and a brother, J.C. Williams.

She is survived by five sons, Jonnie Earl Williams, James Eddie Williams and Earnest James Williams, all of Coffeeville, Albert Lee Williams of Pineville, La. and Warren Daniel Williams of Alexandria, La.; a daughter, Pearlie Mae (Curtis) Williams of Mobile; four sisters, Edna Osborne and Lucille Pace, both of Coffeeville, Pearline Thomas of Houston, Texas and Louise Coats of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and a brother, Earnest Williams of Mobile; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be Saturday, March 10, 2 p.m. at Cedar Point Baptist Church in Coffeeville. Viewing will be one hour prior to service. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Andrews Funeral Home of Jackson directing.
