Mark Your Calendar Leroy VFD to meet The Leroy Volunteer Fire Department will be meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 2 at 7 p.m. to elect new officers. Wilson Hall High School Class of 1969 to meet The Wilson Hall High School Class of 1969 will be meeting at Wilson Hall High School for a “Meet and Greet” evening from 7:30-10 on Thursday, Dec. 28. Attire is casual. On Friday, Dec. 29 there will be a breakfast at 9:30 a.m. at the school; a banquet, dressy casual, will begin at 7:30 p.m. A family fun day is planned for Saturday, Dec. 30 at the school from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. Attire is T-shirt and jeans. A church service is also planned for Sunday, Dec. 31 at the school, optional. Jackson’s Women’s League New Year’s Eve dance The Jackson Women’s League will be hosting a New Year’s Eve Dance on Jan. 31, 2006. The event will be conducted at the Kimbell House beginning at 8 p.m. The band “Fat Dawgs” will provide the entertainment. Tickets will be available at the door. Couples, $40 and singles, $25. For more information contact Candy or Heather at 246- 3598. CCHS planing 25-year reunion Members of the Clarke County High School Class of 1982 are planning a 25-year class reunion. VFW 5355 meetings The VFW Post 5355 and ladies auxiliary meets the third Thursday of every month, 6 p.m., at the VFW Club on Club Wiley Road. Members are urged to attend and new members are welcome. Sickle Cell support Sickle Cell education and support group meets the first Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m., at Grove Hill Memorial Hospital. Diabetic support The Diabetic Support Group meets the first and third Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m. in the dining room at Grove Hill Memorial Hospital.
