      The Leroy Bears made their second consecutive trip to the eastern part of Alabama as they came away with a 34-7 surprise blow-out victory of Houston Academy. The Leroy Bear defense held back-of-the-year candidate Stanley Jones to 46 yards on the ground for the night.

      Alex Moore, age 6, shot his first deer on Nov. 19 in McVay while hunting with his dad. He shot the 110 lb. deer with a 7 mm rifle.

      Tyrel Kimbrough, age 10, of Leroy killed his first deer on Youth Day, Nov. 11 while hunting with his cousin, Clint Dickey of Chatom. The 8-point buck was killed in the Chatom area with a 308 rifle.
