JPD offering self-defense class

The Jackson Police Department (JPD) will offer a selfdefense class for women Nov. 27- 29 utilizing the RAD (Rape Aggression Defense) System.

Officer Arvis Slack will conduct the class at the United Methodist Church Activities Building from 6:30-9:30 p.m. nightly. The class will include classroom

instruction as well as physical participation, with some moderate to heavy activity required.

"With the holiday shopping season fast approaching, this is a good time for women to learn to defend themselves against attackers," said Slack.

Those interested may contact the JPD at 246-4484. Class size is limited to 20 students.
