McIntosh United

Methodist Church

McIntosh United Methodist Church will be conducting its homecoming on Sunday, Oct. 22 at 11 a.m.

The Rev. Molly Fulford, pastor, invites everyone to attend.

There will be food and fellowship immediately following the service.

Church of God Pentecostal

The Church of God Pentecostal in McIntosh will be honoring Deacon Melvin Kimbrough Sr. on Sunday, Oct. 29 at 11:30 a.m.

Pastor Bobby Powe and Rosie Wright, sponsor, invite everyone to attend.

First Baptist Church

of Fulton

The First Baptist Church of Fulton will be conducting its homecoming service on Sunday, Oct. 29.

Pastor is Dr. John Copeland.

Sunday School will be at 9:45 a.m. with worship at 11.

Dinner on the grounds will follow the service with singing in the afternoon.

The church is located on Highway 178, between Thomasville and Grove Hill.

First Baptist Church

of Jackson

The First Baptist Church student ministry, "Souled Out" in Jackson, will be hosting "5th Quarter" on Friday, Oct. 20 immediately following the football games.

All students currently in 6-12th grades and college students are welcome to attend.

A movie will be shown as if you were at a drive-in. The time for the event is 9 p.m. until midnight.

Everyone is asked to bring a canned or nonperishable food item to help restock the food pantry at the Salvation Army.

Encourage friends to attend and participate in the only operating drive-in theater in Clarke County. Refreshments will be provided.

Firebrands For Christ

Ministries International

Prophetess Lucinda White, copastor of Firebrands For Christ Ministries International in Linden, will be speaking at the Mobile Convention Center on Oct. 27-28.

The sessions are on Friday, 9 a.m., 12 noon and 7 p.m. and Saturday, 9 a.m., 12 noon and 2 p.m.

Trinity Broadcast Network will be broadcasting the event.

The Women of Fire Conference is hosted by Prophetess Sheila Morris of Los Angeles, Calif. under the leadership of Bishop Noel Jones.

Star of Zion A.M.E.

Zion Church

The Star of Zion A.M.E. Zion Church and Good Hope A.M.E. Zion Church, both in Jackson, will be sponsoring a fall revival Monday, Oct. 23 through Wednesday, Oct. 25, 7 nightly at Star of Zion A.M.E. Zion Church, located at 714 Depot Road.

The Rev. Issac Acquah will be preaching.

Pastor Irmatine Thomas Chastang of Star of Zion Church invites everyone to attend.

Friendship Baptist Church

Pastor Charlie J. White and the church members of Friendship Baptist Church in Leroy invite everyone to worship with them for their annual Usher's Day on Sunday, Oct. 22 at 3 p.m.

Special guests will be Pastor Nathaniel Fair Sr. and his congregation at First Baptist Church of Mt. Vernon. All are invited to attend.

McCann's United Methodist

Church

McCann's United Methodist Church in Jackson will be conducting its homecoming on Sunday, Oct. 22 at 11 a.m.

Paul McVay will be the guest speaker.

Special music will be provided by Brian Jemison and by the church choir.

A covered dish lunch will be served after the service in the church fellowship hall.

Baptist Church

Old St. Matthew Baptist Church in Choctaw Bluff will be hosting its homecoming and revival services Oct. 29 through Nov. 3

The Rev. Norman Howard, pastor of Big John Baptist Church in Malcolm, will be the guest speaker for the homecoming service at 12 noon on Sunday.

The revival begins on Monday, Oct. 30 and will continue through Friday, Nov. 3 at 7 nightly.

Channey, Wednesday, St. Union of Leroy, St. Union of Jackson, James Chapel of St. Stephens, Greater Pilgrim Rest, Pine Chapel No. 1 and No. 2 Baptist churches; the Rev. Darris Roger, Thursday, New St. Matthew, Greater Mt. Sinai, New Canaan, Mt. Gilead, St. John and Jackson Street Baptist churches; and the Rev. First Baptist Church

of Leroy

Members of the First Baptist Church of Leroy invite all children through grade six to participate in their annual "Trunk or Treat" on Tuesday, Oct. 31 from 6-7:30 p.m.

The night is based on the traditional trick or treat experience. Children will go from trunk-totrunk at the pavilion to receive candy.

Free popcorn and coke will be given to each person and one lucky child will be able to win a bike.

Everyone is invited for a special night of family fun.

Peniel Baptist Church

The Sunday School Department of Peniel Baptist Church in Jackson will be hosting an Open House on Sunday, Oct. 22 from 2-4 p.m.

Everyone is invited to attend for fellowship and refreshments and to meet Sunday School teachers. The church provides classes from nursery school age to senior adults.

The church will also be conducting "Trunk or Treat" on Sunday, Oct. 29 at 5 p.m.

The church is located at 1730 McVay Road.

James Chapel

Baptist Church

Pastor Osbry Millender, the members and officers of James Chapel Baptist Church in Barlow Bend invite everyone to attend their annual homecoming and revival Oct. 22-26.

Pastor Millender will deliver the homecoming message on Sunday, Oct. 22 at 11:30 a.m.

The revival will begin on Monday, Oct. 23 with the Rev. Wilson Gibby, pastor of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Wainwright delivering the message.

On Tuesday, the Rev. Tommie Moore, pastor of Union Chapel Baptist Church in Barlow Bend will be the evangelist.

The Rev. Kevin Jackson, pastor of Mt. Olive No. 1 Baptist Church in Rockville will bring the message Wednesday.

Bringing the message Thursday will be the Rev. Clausell Boykin, pastor of St. James A.M.E. Church in Choctaw Bluff.

Revival services will be at 7 each evening.

Mt. Gilead Baptist Church

Mt. Gilead Baptist Church in Carlton will be conducting its Pastor Appreciation Day on Sunday, Oct. 22.

Associate Minister Kenny Hines of the Christian Union Baptist Church in Mobile will bring the message at 11 a.m.

The Rev. Jesse Lowe Jr., pastor of New Hope Baptist Church in Wilmer will be the speaker at 2 p.m.

Stave Creek

Baptist Church

Stave Creek Baptist Church in Jackson will be hosting a Fall Revival beginning Sunday, Oct. 22 and continuing through Wednesday, Oct. 25.

Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Sunday and 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday.

Dr. Mack Morris of Woodridge Baptist Church in Mobile, will be the guest speaker and Marty Townsend of First Baptist Church in Chatom will lead the worship service.

Special guests at the Sunday service will be Linda and Erin Phillips, mother and sister of N.Y. Yankee first baseman, Andy Phillips.

Pastor Mike Maloy invites everyone to attend.

Thomasville Church

of Christ

The Thomasville Church of Christ, located at the corner of West 3rd and Worl, will be conducting its Gospel meeting Oct. 21-22.

Services on Saturday evening will be at 7:30 and Sunday's services at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend.

Free Mission

District Association

The 135th and 103rd annual session of the Free Mission District Association will be conducted Oct. 20-21 at Mt. Olive No. 2 Baptist Church in Jackson beginning at 9 a.m., the Rev. D.W. Moore, pastor.

All advisors, supervisors, counselors and members of the youth and women's auxiliaries are expected to attend.

Missionaries and those who love the Lord are welcome to attend, said the Rev. James M. Howard, moderator and Edythe Daffin White, president of the Women's Auxiliary.

New St. Matthew

Baptist Church

The New St. Matthew Baptist Church in the Lily Valley community of Jackson, will be celebrating its annual homecoming and church anniversary on Oct. 22 at 3 p.m.

Special guest speaker will be the Rev. Kelvin Maye, pastor of William Chapel Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon.

The revival will be conducted Monday through Friday, Oct. 23- 27, at 7 each evening.

Evangelist for the week will be the Rev. D.W. Moore, pastor of Mt. Olive No. 2 Baptist Church in Jackson.

Pastor Kevin Boykin and chairperson, Theodore Fox, invite everyone to attend.

Millry Baptist Church

Millry Baptist Church will be conducting its annual "Celebrate Jesus Blast" (Halloween alternative) on Sunday, Oct. 29 from 3-5 p.m.
