Gill chosen to serve as college ambassador

Stephen Gill of Grove Hill is among the men and women chosen to serve as college ambassadors at Southern Union State Community College in Wadley.
SU ambassadors are a group of students selected to serve as hosts and hostesses for the college. The students serve as public relations representatives and recruiting agents. They conduct campus tours and assist the administration, staff and faculty with various events throughout the year, providing a student link with alumni, visiting dignitaries, guests and prospective students.
To be selected the students must complete an application process.
Gill, a 2004 graduate of Jackson High School, is the son of Nancy and Darren Gill and the grandson of Audrey Powell and the late Rev. Robert C. Powell, and Eloise and John D. Gill, all of Jackson and the late Mittie Gill.
