Library benefit auction tonight

White Smith Memorial Library in Jackson will conduct its annual dinner and auction tonight (Thursday), at the H.W. Pearce Memorial Park Assembly House.

Viewing of the items will be from 5-6 p.m., followed by dinner from 6-7 p.m. The live auction will begin after dinner.

A variety of items will be up for bid, including everything from sports and hunting items to fine art and furniture pieces. Tickets for the event are $25 and are still available at the library. All proceeds will go to benefit the library's building fund.

Library spokesperson Shelia Finch thanked the sponsors for tonight's event. "Without them this could not happen," she said.

Star sponsors for the event are McCorquodale & McCorQuodale, Merchants Bank and the city of Jackson.
