Spiritual Beliefs
When we realize and truly understand that God will never leave us or forsake us we will be confident, we will have the right perspective about life, we will live in peace, and we will have courage. The Hebrew writer focused on God and His presence, he understood that the presence of God was always with him. There's a story about a 3-or- 4-year-old boy whose mother had died. The night of the funeral his dad tucked him in bed and they spent some time talking. Dad was trying to answer all the questions that a child might have concerning the tragic death of his mother. Later, when the young boy had calmed down, the dad went into his own bedroom, turned out the light, only to hear his son calling for him. Dad went into the son's room, picked him up, and took him into the master bedroom. After a few more questions in the dark room, the little boy looked up and said, "Dad, is your face toward me?" The dad answered, "Yes son, it is." The little boy reached out in the dark, touched his dad's face and said, "I think I can sleep now that your face is toward me."
I'm here to tell you that the God we serve is an encouraging God. No matter how dark the hour....His face is always toward us. We may turn from Him but He is always facing toward us. He is faithful and true.
