Preparing for emergencies
Jackson Police Chief Charles Burge talks with the driver of a truck delivering bottled gases during the annual emergency response training drill conducted in conjunction with Boise. This year's drill was conducted on the morning of Thursday, Sept. 21 and saw participation from the city of Jackson, Jackson Police Department, Jackson Volunteer Fire Department, Jackson Emergency Transport Service (JETS), Jackson Medical Center, Clarke County Emergency Management Agency, Department of Human Resources, LifeFlite and other local agencies. The goal of the training is to be prepared to minimize the impact of an emergency situation on the community.
