LEGAL NOTICE County of Clarke Notice of Sale Default having been made in the payment of the payments of rent on the following storage units listed below, whereas Units No. 1 through 44 are located at Hobo U-Store-It on West Cedar Street, the location being situated in the City of Jackson, Clarke County, Alabama, under those certain Rental Agreements, executed by the following persons listed below, and by reason of such default a lien is claimed on the personal property located in each said unit, and such default continuing, notice is hereby given that, acting in accordance with Title 8-15-30, et seq. Pre-qualification forms shall be obtained from the Architect. The Pre-qualification proposal shall consist of AIA Document A305, a list of successful projects, construction costs, clients name, address and telephone number. Sealed proposals, in duplicate, will be received for the above referenced project by Mayor, Mr. Richard Long, at City Hall, 400 Commerce St., Jackson, Alabama, until 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 28, 2006, then opened and read aloud. Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents are open to public inspection at the office of the Architect, Owner and F. W. Dodge Room in Birmingham, Mobile and Montgomery, Alabama. Bids must be submitted on proposal forms furnished by the Architect or copies thereof. No bid may be withdrawn after scheduled closing for receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if, in the Owners judgment, the best interests of the Owner will thereby be promoted. A certified check or Bid Bond payable to The City of Jackson, Alabama, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000.00 must accompany the bidder's proposal. Performance and statutory labor and material payment bonds will be required at the signing of the Contract. Pre-Qualified General Contractors requesting Contract Documents may obtain up to two (2) sets by submitting to the Architects a deposit of $150.00 per set. The Plan Deposit is refundable less shipping charges, provided the Plans and Specifications are returned to the Architect, in good condition within 10 calendar days after date of bid opening. Other sets for Pre-Qualified General Contractors, Sub-Contractors and Supplier may be obtained by submitting the above stated Plan Deposit, which will be refunded less the cost of printing and shipping. Only Contractors who have been pre-qualified, and which are properly licensed in accordance with criteria established by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors under Provision of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, as amended, will be considered for bidding the work of these projects. All bidders shall show such evidence by clearly displaying current license number on the outside of the sealed envelope in which the proposal is delivered. A list of qualified contractors shall be available from the Owner. The work shall consist of the construction of approximately 5,800 SF, consisting of site work, concrete slab on grade, wood stud walls, interior finishes, shingles, wood trusses, and all related trades, including plumbing, HVAC and electrical. Completion Time: The General Contractor shall complete the project in 240 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed.
