Jackson woman faces drug charges
By Evan Carden SA Editor

A Jackson woman faces drug possession charges after trying to walk away from Task Force One agents during an interdiction in the Depot area of town.

According to task force reports, Arlisa Yvonne Bernard, 32, was arrested by Task Force One Commander Michael Hunt after he found approximately five grams of crack cocaine in her possession.

The report states that agents observed a vehicle stopped in the road and its occupants talking to a pedestrian. When agents approached the car to question its occupants, Bernard exited the vehicle and was stopped by Hunt, at which time she became disorderly. Commander Hunt placed Bernard under arrest and transported her to the Jackson City Jail where during a search of her person officers found the illegal drug.

Bernard was charged with possession of a controlled substance and disorderly conduct and booked into the Clarke County Jail.
