Flossie L. Roe Flossie L. Roe, 93, died Sept. 8, 2006 at an area hospital. Anative and resident of Clarke County, she was a homemaker. She is survived by two daughters, Barbara R. Wiggins and Martha R. Finney, both of Grove Hill; four sons, Vernon Roe of Jackson, Kenneth Roe of Brewton, Jerry Roe of Mobile and Charles Roe of Grove Hill; four sisters, Lois Batley, Nettie Alday and Francis Davis, all of Jackson and Jeanette Lewis of Mobile; two brothers, W.C. Smith of Coffeeville and S.D. Smith of Theodore; 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Roe, daughter, Jean R. Howard, two sisters, Ada Williamson and Virginia Smith, two brothers, Clyde Smith and Clinton Smith and two grandchildren, Sam Roe and Jennifer Roe.
The funeral service was Sept. 10 at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church in Walker Springs. Interment was in the Union Baptist Church Cemetery with Bros.William Allison and Carey Howard officiating and St. Stephens Funeral Home directing.
