APTC fund-raising banquet set for Thursday, Oct. 19

The Alpha Pregnancy Testing Center, Sav-A-Life, Inc. in Jackson will be conducting its 13th annual fund-raising banquet, "Making A World of Difference" on Thursday, Oct. 19 at H.W. Pearce Memorial Park Assembly House in Jackson.

Dr. Walter L. Larimore, MD. will be the featured speaker.

Larimore is one of America's best-known family physicians and is listed in the Best Doctors in America, Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare and the International Health Professionals of the Year.

He received his medical degree from Louisiana State University and completed his family medicine residency at Duke University. He practiced four years in the Smoky Mountains before moving to Central Florida where he practiced for 16 years. In 1996, he was named America's Outstanding Family Medicine Educator by the American Academy of Family Physicians.

He is now a full-time author and medical journalist. Larimore has hosted 850 episodes of the daily, live Ask the Family Doctor show on Fox's Health Network where he received a "Gracie Award" by the American Women in Radio and Television.

Everyone is invited to attend the banquet to learn more about the center.
